About the project
The house, and the school beside it.
Al‑Furqan Academy is an Islamic elementary school in Pflugerville. The new work is a masjid and a full-time school on ten acres in East Pflugerville, planned with the Islamic Center of Pflugerville and Al‑Huda.
Why this land
One place for both.
On October 26, 2026, ICP and Al‑Huda agreed to put their shared effort here. The existing Al‑Huda masjid and waqf in Manor stay as they are. Fundraising turns to a new masjid, built for a growing community, and a full-time Islamic elementary school on the Al‑Furqan land.
A masjid and a school on one site means families are not split between two drives. It also means the community is raising for one campus instead of two separate ones.
The October drawing uses about three of the ten acres: school, masjid, play, and parking. The rest is open for the campus to grow, and for Friday and Ramadan parking. It is a concept. The site plan is still ahead of us, with the city.
What comes next
Design first. Then the city.
Contracts with the architect, the structural engineer, and the site engineer were signed on October 30. The kickoff with engineers, contractors, and the build team was November 2.
Phase 1 is $250,000 of a $2.6 million project, due December 4. It covers county fees, civil engineering, architectural and structural design, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering, permits, and the other early costs. Engineering and city approval are expected to take six to eight months.
If funding and those approvals hold, the wider joint fundraising begins in early 2027, with completion aimed at summer 2028, in time for the 2028–2029 school year.

وَالسَّابِقُونَ السَّابِقُونَ
